The Background
A Complete Refurbishment, Managed End to End
Carrs Billington needed their on-site fuel storage tanks brought back to a fully serviceable, compliant standard. Rather than replace serviceable assets, the right approach was a thorough refurbishment - restoring the tanks and extending their working life at a fraction of the cost of replacement.
Border Tank Services was appointed as the principal contractor for the project. That meant we took responsibility for the whole job: planning the works, managing site safety, and carrying out every stage of the refurbishment to the required standard.
Each tank was integrity tested to confirm it was sound, then the surfaces were prepared, the tanks were internally cleaned to remove any sludge and residue, and finally repainted to protect against corrosion. The result is a set of tanks that look and perform like new, ready for years of continued service.
