Proper Maintenance & Care
Servicing and maintenance are essential for safety and compliance
Regular maintenance helps identify and address potential safety hazards - such as leaks or structural weaknesses - ensuring a safe working environment for employees and the surrounding community.
We specialise in a wide range of industrial tank maintenance services, including human-entry cleaning, and can service both under and overground tanks. With our extensive knowledge, experience, and expertise, we can effectively maintain tanks of any size and type.
A planned maintenance programme protects your operations from unexpected breakdowns, extends the working life of your tanks and equipment, and gives you the documentation you need for compliance and insurance. Call us on 01387 733276 to discuss a maintenance schedule that works for your site.
What We Can Do
Industrial Tank Maintenance Specialists
From small commercial tanks to large industrial storage vessels, we have the equipment, training, and experience to handle the job safely and thoroughly.
Human-entry tank cleaning
For large or heavily contaminated tanks, our trained engineers carry out safe human-entry cleaning - removing all residue, sludge, and deposits from every corner of the tank interior to a thorough standard.
Above and underground tanks
We service both above-ground and underground fuel and oil tanks of any size. Underground work involves specialist access procedures and confined space protocols - handled safely by our experienced team.
Any size, any type
From small commercial tanks to large industrial storage vessels, we have the knowledge, experience, and equipment to maintain tanks of any capacity across a wide range of fuel and oil types.
Safety & compliance support
Regular maintenance helps identify and address potential safety hazards - leaks, structural weaknesses, and corrosion - before they become serious. We provide written inspection records to support your compliance obligations.
What We Cover
What a Maintenance Visit Includes
Every commercial maintenance job is tailored to your tank and site - but this is what a typical scheduled service covers.
Internal cleaning & sludge removal
Accumulated sludge, water, and sediment is removed from the tank interior. For large tanks this includes human-entry cleaning to achieve a thorough result that non-entry methods cannot match.
Structural inspection
With the tank empty, our engineers inspect the shell, welds, seams, and internal surfaces for signs of corrosion, pitting, or structural deterioration - catching problems before they become failures.
Fittings, vents & gauges checked
All fittings, overflow pipes, vents, sight glasses, and level gauges are inspected and tested. Worn or non-compliant components are reported and can be replaced as part of the visit.
Pipework & connectors flushed
Supply and return lines are flushed to clear any contamination migrating from the tank. This protects downstream equipment such as pumps, filters, and burners from premature wear.
Waste oil & residue disposal
All waste oil, contaminated fuel, and residues removed during maintenance are disposed of legally and responsibly in line with waste carrier regulations. Full paperwork is provided.
Written inspection report
Every maintenance visit is documented with a written report covering work completed, inspection findings, and any recommended remedial actions - giving you a clear audit trail for compliance and insurance purposes.
Need a full tank clean as well?
If your maintenance visit reveals heavy sludge build-up or significant contamination, a dedicated tank clean may be required before ongoing maintenance is effective. We offer full commercial tank cleaning - sludge removal, waste oil disposal, and pipework flushing - as a standalone service or combined with your maintenance programme.
Set up a maintenance schedule
Tell us about your tanks - the type, size, and when they were last serviced. We will advise on what is needed and put together a maintenance plan that keeps your operations running safely without unexpected interruptions.
